What is dr. maru?

Dr. Maru, also known as Doctor Poison, is a fictional character in the DC Comics universe. She first appeared in Wonder Woman #2 in 1942. Dr. Maru is a chemist and a master of poisons. She worked for the Axis powers during World War II, primarily for the Nazis. She often wears a mask to hide her disfigured face, which she inflicted upon herself in a lab accident. In some versions of her story, she has a personal vendetta against Wonder Woman and seeks to destroy her. Dr. Maru has appeared in several adaptations of Wonder Woman, including the 2017 film and the television series Wonder Woman.
